Barrie police say a driver sustained a "serious head injury" in an early morning rollover.
Officers received the report at 5:03 a.m. about a crash on Essa Road south of Salem Road.
"Police located the male who was operating the involved motor vehicle that was travelling northbound on Essa Rd., lost control, left the roadway and came to rest on its roof in a heavily wooded area," officers said in a news release.

They say the collision happened around 2:00 a.m.
"The 26-year-old male driver was transported to a local hospital where he was treated for a serious head injury," officers added.
Anyone who witnessed the crash or has dash camera video of a white-coloured Jeep travelling in the area at or before 2:00 a.m. is asked to contact Detective Constable Langdon by email at dlangdon@barriepolice.ca.
