A 26-year-old is up on charges
OPP

Collingwood OPP arrested an individual for impaired driving offences for the second time within the last 90 days.

This morning just before 2:00 a.m., OPP stopped a driver who they say was travelling at 170 km/hr on Highway 26 near Fairgrounds Road.

"The driver was arrested for stunt driving and upon further investigation found to be impaired," police stated in a release.

"The 26-year-old from Barrie was also serving an ADLS suspension as a result of impaired offences from May 2023."

The driver faces seven charges including operation while impaired, stunt driving, and driving while under suspension.

They are scheduled to appear in Collingwood court in September.
