Barrie Police say they have recovered a vehicle that was reported stolen from a residence on Quinlan Road on Aug. 20.
The vehicle was located in a Mulcaster Street parking lot.
Police say the second suspect linked to the theft remains outstanding
A 42-year-old man from Barrie was arrested Saturday in connection with the Quinlan Road theft and charged with trespass at night, theft of a motor vehicle, and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.
He was taken into custody when Barrie Police initiated a traffic stop on Essa Road just north of Burton Avenue after they spotted a prohibited driver behind the wheel of a car.
The accused was written up on additional charges, and a Barrie man in his 40s was also charged after police say they seized identity documents and two prohibited knives.
Both suspects were also charged with probation violations.

Barrie police are appealing to the public for further information regarding the theft of a vehicle in the city's east end on Thursday.
Between 1:40 a.m. and 5 a.m., two suspects were seen on home surveillance cameras checking door handles of vehicles in the area of Dunsmore Lane and Quinlan Road.
One car had its window smashed before items were taken from inside, while at around 4:25 a.m., another vehicle was stolen from a Quinlan Road driveway, last seen heading north.

Police say the first suspect was wearing a navy-blue sweater, blue hat, black shorts, white shoes with black, and carrying a black backpack.
The second suspect was wearing a white sweater/jacket, beige/brown pants, a hat, and white Nike shoes. He has long blonde/light brown hair tied in a ponytail and carried a backpack with a patterned side bag.
Anyone living in the area with surveillance cameras or witnessed anything suspicious is asked to contact police.
