A Barrie man and woman are wanted by Orillia OPP concerning a province-wide fraud investigation on Facebook Marketplace.
In October, OPP received a report from a victim who had been swindled when purchasing an item on Facebook Marketplace.
"The victim sent a deposit for an item, and never heard from the seller again," OPP said in a release.
Since October, more victims have been identified.
Investigators say they have identified two suspects whose whereabouts are unknown.
OPP say there are grounds to arrest:
28-year-old Crystal Davies for:
- Fraud Under $5000 contrary to section 380(1)(b) of the Criminal Code of Canada x8
And 30-year-old Justin Hawkins:
- Fraud Under $5000 contrary to section 380(1)(b) of the Criminal Code of Canada.
