Suspect in car theft fails to score merchandise from Barrie grocery store
Security got in the way of her plan
Things started off okay for a woman Barrie police allege stole a car from a Cumberland Street parking lot.
This happened shortly after 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
Police say the woman drove the car to the Zehr’s on Yonge Street and attempted to steal nearly $1,000 worth of merchandise. When she was approached by security, she abandoned the cart.
The car is a 4-door black Toyota Corolla with licence CJRB836.

The suspect is 5’10”, 30-35 years of age, average build, and she was wearing a green zip-up hoodie, black spandex and black Under Armour runners.
