It isn't likely the kind of room service a hotel guest in Barrie had planned on.

Police took him into custody after they responded to a Bryne Drive hotel about a guest who was becoming disruptive and rude towards staff.

According to authorities, staff asked the "visibly intoxicated" man to leave, but he refused.

"Police were concerned for his well-being and, due to his intoxicated state, arrested him and transported him to Barrie Police Headquarters, where he was lodged and held until sober," police stated in a release on Friday.

The 66-year-old was charged with failing to leave when directed and public intoxication.
