Barrie Jobless Rate Continues Downward Slide
Some Companies Say Finding Labour Is a Challenge
Another good month on the job front in Barrie.
The jobless rate down a titch to five per cent. An interesting number, says Mayor Jeff Lehman, it is the number most experts say is the per cent of the workforce that is typically between jobs. Below that number, and that generally means labour shortages.
Lehman notes that he has heard from some companies that are finding hiring a challenge. That said, he notes it’s a good problem to have.
