Barrie’s jobless rate went down a wee bit yet again last month, continuing a downward trend we’ve been seeing since May. The city’s unemployment rate sits at 5.2 per cent, down two-tenths from last month.
Provincially and federally, not much change month over month; Ontario’s rate rose just a bit to 5.6, near where it sat at the beginning of the year.
Federally, same story: not much fluctuation month-over-month at 5.6 per cent. The federal unemployment rate is, plus or mins two-tenths, mostly unchanged since the beginning of the year.
