A Barrie martial arts instructor is facing 11 additional charges in a child sexual assault investigation after police say more victims came forward.
Barrie Police say they have also examined electronic devices that were seized during the investigation.
28-year-old David Tallim was originally arrested in May and charged with sexual assault, sexual interference, and invitation to sexual touching.
The new charges are five counts of luring a child, one count each of making, possessing and accessing child sexual abuse and exploitation material, and one count each of sexual interference, invitation to sexual touching, and sexual assault on a person under 16 years of age.
Police have said that Tallim is the sole proprietor of Alpha Martial Arts World on Little Avenue and has been involved in the Barrie martial arts community for several years.
Investigators are encouraging anyone with information that has not yet been reported to contact Detective Constable Erica Sinclair at esinclair@barriepolice.ca. Anonymous tips can be made through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
None of the allegations have been tested in court.
