"Barrie Police remind members of the public to use extreme caution when conducting private sales transactions. Meet in a public place during daylight hours, bring someone with you, and be aware of your surroundings. Trust your instincts. If something feels off, leave the area. If something seems too good to be true, it usually is," police said in a news release.
