The Ontario Secondary School Teachers’ Federation represents educators at secondary schools within the Simcoe County District School Board. A one-day strike means all high schools with the public board would have to close. However, the OSSTF also represents staff with both elementary and secondary schools with the Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board; a strike would affect both grade and high schools there.

In addition, Kaleidoscope Play Centre on King Street in Barrie is offering a day camp for kids ages 5 -12. it runs from 8:30 am to 4 pm. Cost is $60. Extended hours are available if needed.
