A sharp-eyed Barrie Police officer spotted a wanted man riding an e-scooter near Maple and Ross Streets Tuesday.
Police say the 26-year-old ditched the scooter and took off on foot before being caught after a short chase.

Investigators say he resisted arrest, assaulted an officer and later spat in the officer's face while being placed in a cruiser.
The officer suffered minor injuries, while the accused faces multiple charges, including assaulting a peace officer, uttering threats and breaching a release order.
