We're going to be treated to a partial solar eclipse in Ontario on Saturday.
At the moment, Environment Canada says the day will start cloudy in Barrie, but some clearing late in the morning, which would be perfect.
The eclipse will start around noon, when the moon will begin to cover the sun, causing it to look like a crescent shape, and will be visible at different times depending on where it's seen in the province.
Partial solar eclipse in Barrie:
11:55 a.m.: Partial eclipse begins. The moment the edge of the moon touches the sun is called first contact.
1:08 p.m.: Maximum eclipse. The deepest point of the eclipse, with the sun at its most hidden.
2:23 p.m.: Partial eclipse ends. The edge of the moon leaves the edge of the sun.
