A 44-year-old man was taken to the hospital with significant injuries after being struck by a vehicle in Barrie.
Police say the collision happened around 9:30 Monday night near Bayfield Street and Livingstone Street as the man was crossing the road.

The driver, a 66-year-old man, remained at the scene.
Bayfield Street was closed for the police investigation and reopened around 2:30 Tuesday morning.
The investigation is ongoing.
