Barrie Police charged a male three times following traffic stop

After a traffic stop Sunday night, Barrie Police arrested a male on drug and weapon charges.

The arrest occurred after what police called “a proactive traffic stop." Police say they stopped the vehicle on North St.

Police say the driver was found to have a white powdery substance believed to be cocaine. 

The male was changed with the following offences:

-Possession of cocaine

-Possession for the purpose of trafficking - cocaine

-Possession of a prohibited weapon

The suspect was released with a future court date.
