A collision between a Barrie police cruiser and a pedestrian on Saturday morning led to charges on an 18-year-old from the city.
The incident happened at Essa Road and Gowan Street just after 8 a.m., according to a news release from the Barrie Police Service.
Peter Leon, communications coordinator, says the pedestrian was exiting a transit bus at the time.
"From the investigation that followed, by the Barrie Police Traffic Unit, it was determined that a female exited the City of Barrie transit bus and ran into the path of a fully marked Barrie Police vehicle as it travelled westbound on Essa Rd," Leon stated.

"The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital where she was treated for non-life-threatening injuries and the intersection remained closed until just before noon-hour to allow for the investigation of this collision to safely take place."
Leon says she has been charged with:
- Pedestrian fail to use crosswalk.
