Barrie Police confirmed on Thursday that person who was reported missing earlier this week was located deceased in the area of Grove Street and Davidson Street, in the city's east end.
Foul play has been ruled out.
Police say to respect the family's privacy, no further details will be released.
"Barrie Police extend our condolences to the family and loved ones," police said in a post to social media.
