Repeat Customer Wanted for Assault

The Barrie Police Service reports a suspect has turned herself in to police and has since been charged with assault.

Barrie Police are hoping for help in IDing a suspect, after a hot cup of coffee was tossed in a store clerk’s face.

Police were called to the Circle K on Bayfield St. around 1:00 Friday afternoon, with reports of an assault there. Investigators say a woman tossed the hot coffee in the store employee’s face before leaving on foot. It is believed she made her way downtown from there.

Police say the same woman had been seen in the store on November 9th, leaving the store without paying for her coffee.
