Barrie police confirm to Barrie 360 the search for a missing 14-year-old girl is also part of an OPP investigation.
Police tweeted Saturday afternoon that Katie Martin was last seen Saturday at 12:30 a.m. at her home. She is described as 5'4", has brown hair with highlights, a piercing on each side of her nose, and could be wearing white Nike Air Force shoes with pink accents.
Police said Katie could be in Ottawa with a 15-year-old white male and a 23-year-old black male in a 2009 Mazda 6i, licence plate CWPB246.
Police and family are concerned for her well-being.
The licence plate number and vehicle make matches one provided by OPP last week following the theft of a pizza delivery car in Gravenhurst on Wednesday, June 29.
In that incident, police said a person was delivering pizza around 11 p.m. at an apartment complex on Old Muskoka Road when two individuals armed with an edged weapon assaulted him and took the car.
The victim suffered minor injuries.
OPP said the vehicle they were searching for was a black 2009 Mazda four-door with the licence plate CWPB246. It had a Dominos pizza sign attached to the roof.
Anyone with information about the whereabouts of Martin is asked to call 911.
