It's time to chill and take the plunge.
The Barrie Police Service will host its annual Polar Plunge in support of Special Olympics Ontario on Sunday, Feb. 2 at 11 a.m. at Centennial Beach.
The event is not just open to the men and women in blue. Anyone willing to set up, get a little cold, and support the cause is welcome to go for a chilly dip into Kempenfelt Bay.
The Polar Plunge helps to raise funds for programming and events that benefit more than 23,000 athletes across the province.
