Three people have been arrested and charged after Barrie police seized a semi-automatic pistol and drugs.

Around 1 a.m. Friday, police received information about two males who were refused entry to a licenced establishment on Dunlop Street East because it was believed one of them was armed with a gun.

Police were advised the males were last seen walking eastbound on Dunlop Street towards Meridian Place where they were located with a third person.

During the investigation, a gun was seized from one of the males, and police say they also seized suspected drugs from the three men.

A 24-year-old man from Scarborough is facing a slew of firearm and drug possession charges, as well as failing to comply with an undertaking and four counts of failing to comply with a release order.

A variety of suspected drugs were also seized from the male, according to police, including crack cocaine, percocet, hydromorphone, crack cocaine, cocaine, heroin, and oxycodone.

A 20-year-old from Ajax was charged with firearm and drug-related offences, and a Barrie man, age 37, of no fixed address, is facing a drug possession charge.

All three were held for a bail hearing on Friday.
