Teen injured after stabbing on Bayview Drive: Barrie police

Barrie police respond to stabbing

Barrie police say they responded to a stabbing incident this afternoon where a teen was injured and sent to Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre (RVH).

Peter Leon, a Barrie Police Service spokesperson, told Barrie 360 officers got to the area of Bayview Drive and Little Avenue around 2:30 p.m.

He says a male in his mid-teens was injured.

"There is an ongoing investigation with limited details at this time," Leon said. "We do believe the incident to be isolated in nature and we are utilizing a number of resources, including our forensic identification unit and our criminal investigation division to assist."

He added that no arrests have been made at this time.
