
The Barrie District Girls Softball Association is gearing up to host one of the region’s biggest annual sporting events as the Barrie REP Bash returns June 12–14, bringing together 71 teams and more than 852 athletes for a full weekend of competition, community spirit, and standout female talent.
A Growing Tradition in Local Sport
Now more than two decades strong, the REP Bash has become a marquee event for female softball in the region. The tournament continues to expand each year, drawing teams from across Ontario and beyond.
The tournament has been growing for over 20 years and continues to be a highlight for female softball in our region.
Teams From Across Canada
Athletes aged U11 to U19 will take the field, representing communities from:
- GTA
- Kitchener
- Waterloo
- Kawartha Lakes
- Kingston
- Port Perry
- London
- Windsor area
And in a standout moment for this year’s event, a team will be traveling all the way from Nova Scotia, highlighting the tournament’s growing reach.
Where to Catch the Action
Games will run all weekend at two major local venues:
- Springwater Sports Complex
- Tree Nursery Sports Park
Both locations are expected to be buzzing with spectators, families, and supporters as teams compete in what promises to be a high‑energy showcase of skill and sportsmanship.
Community Invited to Join the Excitement
The BDGSA is encouraging residents, families, and local organizations to come out and experience the atmosphere firsthand.
“We invite you out on June 12–14 to come experience the atmosphere and talent that will be showcased throughout the weekend,” the association said.
