Three men were charged, while a woman is being sought, for stolen catalytic converters after a reported family dispute, according to Barrie police.
On Sunday just after 2:00 a.m., officers responded to the report at a motel at Anne Street North and Donald Street in Barrie.
"Upon arrival at the scene, police were advised that the dispute had resolved itself after the occupants refused to allow a male who had been knocking at the door entry to the room," police wrote in a media release. "While investigating this occurrence, police observed what appeared to be a number of catalytic converters which were later determined to have been stolen."
A 21-year-old from Essa and a 31 and 35-year-old from Barrie were arrested and transported to police headquarters, where the investigation continued.
All three were charged with possession of stolen property over $5,000 and possession of break-in instruments. The 31-year-old was also charged with failing to comply with an undertaking, while the other two were charged with failing to comply with probation.
They were held in custody for bail hearings on Sunday.
"A fourth person in the room, a 27-year-old female of no fixed address, provided false identification and managed to elude being arrested," police continued.
A warrant has been issued for her and her involvement in the stolen catalytic converters.
