Patio season in Barrie officially begins April 15.
On March 29, Barrie City Council approved continuing the extended patio hours and businesses are encouraged to take advantage of warmer weather by offering outdoor dining experiences.
Additional patio seating and extended stays for patrons contribute to the ongoing vibrancy of the downtown.
The latest hour that a person can enter or re-enter an outdoor area are:
- 11:30 p.m. Monday – Wednesday
- 12:45 a.m. Thursday – Saturday and Sundays of long weekends
The latest hour that a person is permitted to remain in the outdoor area are:
- 12:15 a.m. Monday – Wednesday
- 1:30 a.m. Thursday – Saturday and Sundays of long weekends
Patios can remain in place from April 15 until November 15 in alignment with the City’s winter control and spring clean-up maintenance schedules.
