Some loud noise - including blasting - could be heard from Canadian Forces Base Borden this weekend.
Officials with the Canadian Army say they will be doing an "Assault Pioneer Demolition Exercise" at the base on Saturday, March 16, and Sunday, March 17.
"Residents of the surrounding areas may experience high noise levels, including loud blasts, for the duration of these activities due to the use of explosives in the training exercise," officials said in a news release.
"This exercise is being conducted under all applicable Canadian Armed Forces training regulations to protect both the public and Canadian Armed Forces members."
They say the exercise aims to qualify members for the use of explosives.
"Assault Pioneers primarily use explosives as a means of clearing paths and creating entranceways for the units or agencies that they are supporting on domestic and international operations."
