I have the most excellent news!

Chances look good for a new Bill and Ted film.

Alex Winter, who famously played Bill S. Preston Esq, in the original films, says a fourth installment is in development.

During his appearance on the"The Sarah O'Connell Show," Winter said the creative team is "tinkering with a fourth movie idea that all of us like."

He went on to say the movie has to be right.

"We love the Bill & Ted movies because they're oddball, and they're not typical mainstream films. They've never been cash-grab movies; nobody has gotten rich off the Bill and Ted series. We really do make them sincerely from a place of love and interest. There's a really good idea that the writers came up with for a fourth that's kind of obvious. It will get written, and we'll see if we can actually get it made."

Every 90's kid remembers the Bill and Ted films, which saw a young Alex Winter (Bill) and Keanu Reeves (Ted) travel through time in a phone booth to pass their history class.

In the second film, we literally saw our two goofy heroes meet death.

Decades later, in " Bill & Ted Face the Music," the two, joined by their daughters, try to create a song that unites the world.

The third film emerged during a very gloomy part of the pandemic in 2020 when theatres were closed.

It proved a success amongst streamers, and audiences loved the lighthearted nostalgia it brought.
