Black Panther director Ryan Coogler wrongly accused of attempted robbery
Black Panther Director Ryan Coogler was handcuffed and nearly arrested after being mistaken for a bank robber.
TMZ Reports that Coogler walked into a Bank of America in Atlanta earlier this year wearing a hat, mask, and sunglasses.
The 35-year-old then handed the teller a piece of paper to the teller, requesting to withdraw $12 thousand.
The teller got the wrong idea and called the cops for an attempted robbery.
After a brief investigation, police, and Coogler were able to clear up the huge mistake, with cops saying Coogler did nothing wrong.
Reports say Coogler was furious, but the situation was resolved to his satisfaction, and he's moved on.
