Body of man found in Toronto believed to be connected to March 2 shooting near Collingwood

Investigators don't believe there is a threat to public safety

A man’s body found by Toronto police on the same day there was a shooting at a residence in Clearview Township is believed to be connected.

The March 2 shooting happened shortly after midnight on Collingwood Clearview Townline, near 36/37 Nottawasaga Sideroad.

A man was taken to a Toronto-area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The same morning in Toronto, police located the body of a man who is believed to have died of his injuries as a result of the shooting.

He has been identified as a 36 year old from Toronto.

There is no word about suspects and police are asking for witnesses to come forward.

Investigators do not believe there is a threat to public safety.
