Heads up to body shops or repair facilities that have had inquiries about a fix job on an ATV, one matching the description allegedly involved in a fail-to-remain crash on May 16.
Nottawasaga OPP said the ATV is described as a newer model black Polaris Razor side-by-side. The vehicle is expected to have front driver’s side damage as a result of the collision.
Police said the collision happened in the Simcoe County Forest at the intersection of the 3rd Line and 30th Sideroad, Tosorontio.
Investigators said an ATV was travelling northbound on the main trail, running parallel to the 3rd Line, towards the 30th Sideroad, and as the ATV approached a trail running east and west, a second ATV travelling at a high rate of speed collided with the other one at the intersection.
After the crash, the driver of the second ATV continued on the trail, failing to remain at the scene or provide assistance to the other driver. No injuries were reported.
