Both Drivers Tested Positive for THC After Innisfil Crash

Minor Injuries, Minor Damage Following Weekend Crash

Both drivers accused of driving high after a crash in Innisfil.

First responders were called out to a collision on St. John’s Rd near the 7th Line of Innisfil around 4:00 Friday afternoon, while both vehicles had already been moved to a driveway before police arrived.

While speaking with both drivers, officers say signs of cannabis use were noted, while a roadside screening device showed both drivers tested positive for THC.

An 18-year-old man from Innisfil and a 21-year-old man from Etobicoke both received a three-day licence suspension as a result, while the latter, along with his passenger, were taken to hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Police say the crash happened when one vehicle struck another that had stopped to turn left into a private driveway. Only one vehicle received minor damage.
