Barrie Police says it continues to search for a vehicle that was struck a pedestrian in the late afternoon hours of December 18.

The incident occurred just before 5:25 p.m. on Yonge Street in front of the Allandale Marketplace Plaza on Yonge Street. The vehicle reportedly struck someone crossing the road and the driver failed to remain at the scene.

Police say that newly-released imagery, taken from video, show the vehicle in question which features a "unique" lightbar on top of the truck above the front windshield.

The white, four-door Chevrolet pickup truck was last seen heading north on Yonge Street.

Anyone with additional information is urged to contact Constable Benoit of the Barrie Police.
