OPP say a driver is facing multiple charges after crashing a stolen vehicle through a front yard in Bracebridge.
On Saturday, June 11, at 2:00 p.m., a Bracebridge resident called the OPP to report a vehicle drove into their yard and hit two parked cars.
Police say the homeowner blocked the vehicle and stopped the driver from leaving the scene.
Officers say they responded to the Hiram Street address, and determined the vehicle was stolen from Toronto.
According to police, the suspect was never licensed to operate a vehicle.
Police arrested and charged a 31-year-old Tillsonburg man with the following:
- Operation while impaired
- Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000
- Dangerous operation
- Obstructing a peace officer
- Failing to comply with a probation order
- Driving a vehicle with cannabis readily available
The accused remains in custody, and will have a future bail hearing in court.
