Bracebridge OPP uses RIDE campaign to catch two impaired drivers

Bracebridge OPP's Festive RIDE campaign is already proving its worth, taking two impaired drivers off the road between Monday and Wednesday.

At 7:40 p.m. on Wednesday, officers responded to concern about the condition of a driver on Highway 11 North in Bracebridge.

Upon locating the vehicle, officers conducted a traffic stop and subsequently arrested a 30-year-old man from Strathroy. He was charged with impaired driving and having liquor readily available while driving.

Then, on Wednesday at 7:40 p.m., police responded to another concern, this one regarding a driver on Wellington Street in Bracebridge. Officers located the vehicle in question and conducted a traffic stop.

Eventually, a 31-year-old man from Bracebridge was arrested and charged with impaired driving.

Both drivers will appear in court on December 23 in Bracebridge.
