Bracebridge OPP nab two alleged impaired drivers after a pair of separate crashes
There were no injuries in either crash
Two separate single-vehicle crashes in which one driver allegedly walked away from the scene and the other was found snoozing at the wheel.
OPP responded to a report on Sunday, March 15 of a vehicle that left Manitoba Street near Lone Pine Drive in Bracebridge. Police said the driver simply walked away. They caught up to him. Charges against a 55 year old Muskoka Lakes Township man include impaired driving and possession of cocaine.
Then in the wee hours of Tuesday, March 17, Bracebridge OPP were sent to single-vehicle collision on Muskoka Road 169 near East Black Lake Road in Muskoka Lakes Township. When officers arrived, they found the driver sleeping. A 24 year old man from Moose Point was charged with impaired driving.
Both drivers had their licence suspended for 90 days and their vehicle impounded.
