Provincial police in Bracebridge are seeking the public's help as part of their investigation into what they say was "suspicious behaviour" that happened in the area of Wellington Street near Armstrong Street around 1:30 Saturday afternoon.
Police received a call from a parent who said her two daughters were approached by a man driving a black truck who attempted to talk to them, asking if they were "okay."
"The driver attempted to talk to the girls three times during their walk between the Rotary Centre and Monck Public School, which was frightening, and they called a parent to pick them up," police said in a news release on Monday.
Police say the driver never left the vehicle.
He is described as white with short dark hair and stubble on his face, and driving a black 4-door pickup truck with tools and boxes in the truck box.
