Bradford grade 2 students create Black History Month art project

Students will explore and celebrate the past and present contributions of Black Canadians

In recognition of Black History Month, Grade 2 students at Chris Hadfield Public school in Bradford will create an art project to inspire change.

Making Change, an organization of community volunteers will be running the event at the school today. Students will explore and celebrate the past and present contributions of Black Canadians.

Volunteers will guide them to reflect on how we can overcome racism and discrimination by making change.

The art project will be shared with installations in the community during Black History Month and at the Barrie City Hall Rotunda during March.
