Bradford man charged after alleged theft spree at retail stores

A 23-year-old Bradford man is facing theft-related charges after South Simcoe Police linked him to multiple incidents at local retail businesses.

Police say officers responded to a report of a theft in progress at a store in Bradford West Gwillimbury on June 13.

The suspect was quickly located by the police.

During the investigation, officers determined the suspect was also connected to an earlier unsolved theft and two additional theft incidents at retail businesses in Bradford on the same day.

As a result, the accused has been charged with two counts of theft under $5,000 and two counts of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.

The accused is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 6.
