Bradford man charged with attempted murder after father stabbed

Durham Regional Police say the victim suffered serious injuries

A 30-year-old Bradford man has been charged with attempted murder after Durham Regional Police say his father was stabbed at a residence in Pickering.

Police were called to the home around 1 a.m. on Monday.

The 57-year-old from Scugog was taken to a Toronto trauma centre.

His son was arrested with the assistance of South Simcoe Police on Monday afternoon.

The suspect has also been charged with aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, uttering threats, break and enter, possession of weapons dangerous and mischief.
