Over two dozen charges laid after theft from vehicle in Bradford

A Scarborough man was charged with over two dozen offences following a theft from a vehicle in Bradford on Sunday morning.

South Simcoe Police officers responded to a report of the theft in the area of Holland Street West and Collings Avenue around 3:20 a.m.

"A male suspect fled the scene after the vehicle owner found the male inside the vehicle," police wrote in a release. "The suspect then used the stolen credit and debit cards to make numerous purchases at a nearby business."

Officers located and arrested the suspect.

A 37-year-old was charged with over two dozen offences including:

  • Mischief
  • Theft
  • Theft of Credit Card
  • Use of Credit Card
  • Possession of Stolen Goods
  • Drug Possession
  • Probation Order Non-Compliance

The accused was held for a bail hearing.
