Four of the occupants were ejected during the rollover

A vehicle rollover has killed a 15-year-old boy and injured six other teens after a pickup truck lost control and flipped in Brock Township.

Durham Regional Police say the crash happened shortly after 12:30 a.m. on Sunday on Sideline Road 18, between Highway 7 and Concession Road 10, which is east of Highway 12.

Police say the 2006 Chevrolet Sierra truck was travelling on Sideline Road 18 when it lost control, left the roadway and rolled into a ditch.

The vehicle was carrying seven teenagers and was being driven by a 16-year-old girl from Sunderland. Four of the occupants were ejected during the rollover.

Police say the teen who was killed was from Sunderland.

The remaining six occupants, all ages 15 to 17, were transported to local hospitals and later airlifted to Toronto trauma centres.

Two are listed in critical condition, the other four are now listed in serious but stable condition, according to police.
