Broken Headlight Leads to Drug Charges in Bradford
Police Dog's Nose Knows
Two people are facing trafficking charges due to a busted headlight.
Just before midnight Monday evening, South Simcoe Police pulled a vehicle over along Barrie Street in Bradford as it only had one headlight working. After police ran the driver’s name through the crime computer, it was revealed the 30-year-old man was driving with a suspended licence. While he was being taken into custody, police say they found some white powder on him, and believed it to be cocaine.
A Police Dog’s nose helped officers locate about 80 grams of coke in the vehicle. Following this discovery, a female passenger was taken into custody. A Pefferlaw man and 23-year-old Tiny Township woman have both been charged.
