Canada's Wonderland is already open for the 2025 season, but one attraction is debuting soon that's sure to bring guests back to give it a try.
The park's new roller coaster, AlpenFury is just about ready for the summer of 2025, with the final piece of track being installed earlier this week.
AlpenFury will debut this summer as Canada's longest, tallest, and fastest launch coaster. It's designed to span one kilometre around the park and reach speeds of up to 115 kilometres per hour.

It's the first new attraction in the Alpenfest area of the park since 2014 when Wonder Mountain's Guardian debuted, and the fourth coaster to interact with the mountain.
When Xtreme Skyflyer was removed from the park in March of 2024, it gave way to the area where AlpenFury is now standing
The coaster's manufacturer is Premier Rides, which has built rides for the park before. The last was the Backlot Stunt Coaster, which debuted as Italian Job: Stunt Track in 2005.
AlpenFury was announced in August, along with the specifications and storyline, which is explained on Canada's Wonderland's website:
"The villagers at the base of Wonder Mountain closed the climbing trails decades ago, after tales began to spread that it had become home to beasts and mystical forces. One legend holds that at the mountain’s core, fire and ice come together in their most raw, elemental states to create a powerful natural force that is both terrifying and awe-inspiring. The story has become so engrained in local culture that the Alpen village now celebrates this mythical union with its own fire and ice festival every year."
In terms of features, there will be two launches, including one that sends riders 50 metres out of the top of Wonder Mountain. That's before nine inversions, which is the most in the world for a launch coaster.
It will be the only ride in the park to feature pyrotechnics, with fire shooting out from the top of Wonder Mountain as the train is launched out of the summit.
“The combination of being blasted out of Wonder Mountain and then racing through nine inversions, one right after the other, is going to be an experience guests won’t soon forget,” Canada's Wonderland general manager Phil Liggett said in a statement last year.
Before the ride is ready to go for guests, it must go through rigorous safety testing, including trains being run hundreds of times and ride operators being trained. Then the park will get signoff from the Technical Standards and Safety Authority.
AlpenFury will be Canada's Wonderland's 18th roller coaster and 20th overall. The park removed Time Warp after the 2024 season, and SkyRider after 2014.
The coaster is expected to open in a couple of weeks.
