It's far from a done deal, but Channing Tatum says he would love to remake the movie "Ghost."
In a cover story with Vanity Fair, the 42-year-old casually mentioned that he's interested in remaking the 1990 romantic fantasy.
In the interview, he mentions that his production company 'Free Association' has the rights to the film, and they're trying to pull together a remake, but with a few changes.
He says, "But we're going to do something different; like many movies of its day, it contained some problematic stereotypes. I think it needs to change a little bit."
The original film starred the late Patrick Swayze, Demi Moore and Whoopi Goldberg.
If the remake goes ahead, Tatum could play Swayze's role of Sam, a man murdered whose Ghost sets out to save his girlfriend.
The original was a massive success earning $505 million and several oscar nominations.
