Chappell Roan says she has been involved in “too many nonconsensual physical and social interactions” lately, and it’s time to reinforce boundaries. Roan writes on social media that when she’s on stage, or doing interviews, or at a work event, she is working, and when she isn’t, she is “clocked out.”

While Roan expressed gratitude for respectful fans, she draws the line at what she calls “predatory behaviour (disguised as ‘superfan’ behaviour)” that involves touching her, following her and “being weird” to her family and friends.
She says she chose a career in the public eye, but that does not give anyone the right to be “creepy.” In her words, “I feel more love than I ever have in my life. I feel the most unsafe I have ever felt in my life.”
