Charges Laid After Bracebridge Attack
Man Approached Police While "Bleeding Heavily"
A Bracebridge man has been charged with Aggravated Assault, after another was sent to hospital with severe wounds to head and neck.
The victim approached officers on patrol near Manitoba Street and Monck Road around 2:30 Saturday morning, claiming he had just been stabbed. Police say he was bleeding heavily from significant injuries to his head and neck, and was rushed to hospital for treatment.
Investigators were able to identify a suspect in short order, and a 22-year-old man was taken into custody and held for his first court appointment.
The victim’s wounds were determined to be non-life threatening.
