Charges laid against driver after vehicle, street sign, and snowbank struck in Bradford

Drunk and dangerous driving charges laid

A Schomberg man is in hot water with the law, after a hit and hit and hit and run in Bradford.

South Simcoe Police were contacted around 5:00 Sunday afternoon with reports a van had struck another vehicle and a street sign, before hitting a snowbank. Witnesses say the van was reversed out of the snow and driven off at a high rate of speed.

Responding officers were able to locate the vehicle and speak to the driver. Officers noted the smell of alcohol and took the driver into custody.

A 52-year-old man has been charged with impaired and dangerous driving and failing to stop at the scene of a collision.
