Charges Laid Following Bradford Hit and Run

OPP Arrested Man, Saying He Didn't Have Insurance

A Bolton man has been arrested following a hit and run reported in Bradford.

South Simcoe Police were called out to Highway 27 near the 5th Line of Bradford around 1:30 Tuesday afternoon, with reports of a collision there. A vehicle is said to have fled the scene before police arrival.

The OPP were the ones to spy the suspect vehicle, in Tottenham. The driver, a 55-year-old Bolton man, was arrested on the spot, and taken back to South Simcoe Police’s stomping grounds to be charged with Fail to Remain and Fail To Surrender Insurance. The driver was also handed a 3-day licence suspension after registering in the warn range on a breath test.
