Barrie Police are investigating a two-vehicle collision on the morning of February 3 that resulted in a lengthy closure.
Just after 5:19 a.m., officers responded to the crash at the intersection of Dunlop Street West and Cedar Pointe Drive. They eventually determined a westbound vehicle attempting to turn left onto the Highway 400 southbound ramp was struck by an eastbound pickup truck. Both vehicles had a green light.
Following the incident, Dunlop Street West was closed from Hart Drive to Cedar Point Drive, as was the southbound on-ramp and northbound off-ramp that connects to the intersection.

Police say the Ministry of Transportation was called to assist with the Highway 400 ramp closures while its Traffic Reconstruction Unit attended the scene for investigation.
A 21-year-old man from London, Ont. that was driving the left-turning vehicle suffered serious, but non-life threatening injuries. He was transported by paramedics to and eventually released from hospital. Meanwhile, the pickup truck driver, a 41-year-old Barrie man, was uninjured.
The intersection and ramps were eventually reopened around 10:30 a.m., although Barrie Police say several motorists dangerously bypassed their cruisers that had been parked to block access while officers conducted their investigation.
"Buckling up is a vital lifesaving measure that can greatly reduce the risk of serious injury or death in the event of a crash," the service reminded in a news release.
