One of the most highly anticipated films of the year finally got its first trailer and it's looking like quite the sci-fi epic.

Based on the 1965 science fiction novel of the same name, Dune is the story of a nomadic tribe of spacefarers who battle for control of a desert planet called Arrakis. Dune was already turned into a movie with a somewhat lukewarm reception but has since garnered a bit of a cult following.

The new remake will no doubt fair better considering all the names attached to it, both in front and behind the camera. Directing the film will be suspense expert Denis Villeneuve who is no stranger to reviving sci-fi epics having helmed the fantastic Bladerunner 2049. The movie will also be a treat for the ears as well as the eyes with music being composed by the legendary Hans Zimmer. The list of actors in the film is far too long to list but includes Zendaya, Josh Brolin, Oscar Isaac, Javier Bardem, and Timothee Chalamet in the lead role (just to name a few).

Dune will finally be hitting theatres on December 18th and we can't wait to get lost in the world of Arrakis.
